Gouda and Bacon Fondue

Smoky, Creamy and Cheesy!


  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Shallot (Sliced Thin)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin (Ground)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 lb Gouda (Shredded)
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 3/4 Cup White Wine
  • 8 Soft Pretzels (Warmed)


  1. In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Add the sliced onion, cover and cook approx. 5 minutes.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet and cook. Stirring until the shallot is lightly browned approx. 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in the cumin and season the shallot with salt/pepper.
  5. In a mixing bowl, toss the gouda with the flour.
  6. In a saucepan, bring the white wine to a simmer.
  7. Add the gouda and stir constantly until melted. Stir and cook until creamy.
  8. Next, add in the bacon CRUMBLZ and half of the shallot. Season with pepper.
  9. Float the remaining shallot on top of the fondue and garnish with more bacon CRUMBLZ.
  10. Serve with warm soft pretzels and ENJOY!
