Gouda and Bacon Fondue
Smoky, Creamy and Cheesy!
Ingredients:
- 4 oz GODSHALL’S Smoky CRUMBLZ
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Shallot (Sliced Thin)
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin (Ground)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 lb Gouda (Shredded)
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 3/4 Cup White Wine
- 8 Soft Pretzels (Warmed)
Instructions:
- In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the sliced onion, cover and cook approx. 5 minutes.
- Add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet and cook. Stirring until the shallot is lightly browned approx. 5 minutes.
- Mix in the cumin and season the shallot with salt/pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the gouda with the flour.
- In a saucepan, bring the white wine to a simmer.
- Add the gouda and stir constantly until melted. Stir and cook until creamy.
- Next, add in the bacon CRUMBLZ and half of the shallot. Season with pepper.
- Float the remaining shallot on top of the fondue and garnish with more bacon CRUMBLZ.
- Serve with warm soft pretzels and ENJOY!
